Marian Pham Art
Artist Statement:
Marian Pham is a painter and illustrator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts and has also studied at Hongik University in South Korea and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Marian creates digital illustrations using Procreate for both client and personal work. In her gallery practice, she explores oils, watercolors, and other water-based media to create landscapes, portraits, and animal paintings.
"My paintings emerge slowly, through contemplation and lived experience, and are shaped by emotional states that are often private—longing, devotion, grief, courage, and quiet transformation. My work is influenced by my cultural heritage and the idea of honoring ancestral memory, so the figures in my art tend to become companions that hold space for remembrance, legacy and stillness; the works are meant to be lived with, not simply observed."
